Join us at the Mosher Castle, the residence of Pagan and Dean Mosher. Many of us know Dean Mosher as a fine painter of great naval battles depicted in history books including his painting of the Battle of Flamborough Head, England, of Sept 23, 1779, when Captain John Paul Jones’ legendary words “I have not yet begun to fight!” flung over the waves as he faced the formidable British Navy. Dean’s painting Wilbur Wright Greets Lady Liberty now hangs in the Smithsonian’s Air & Space Museum on the mall in Washington, D.C. To learn more about Dean, visit www.deanmosher.com. Afterward, we will walk or drive (about ½ mile) to the Fairhope Museum of History for a guided tour by Donnie Barrett, Museum Director. The museum features changing exhibits on the mezzanine as well as permanent displays of Fairhope’s unique history. After the tour, enjoy (Dutch-treat) lunch at one of many gourmet restaurants or cozy cafes nearby.
