An introduction to the field of Exterior Ballistics. An overview of the forces and moments that affect balls, bullets, and missiles in flight. An overview of simplifying ballistic models such as vacuum trajectories, differential transformations, point mass, and NATO 4DOF models. An introduction to trajectory simulation and experimental techniques.
Course will be taught asynchronous but students have the option to attend the lectures live if they wish on M/W 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM CST.
