Turn back the clock to the 1960s and early ’70s as author Pat Black-Gould discusses her book, “All the Broken Angels,” co-written with Steve Hardiman. The novel brings back the music, TV shows, tie-dye shirts and bell bottoms. It was the dawn of the women’s movement, peace marches and the counterculture, but it was also a time when our country was divided. Pat, a psychologist specializing in working with Vietnam vets, discusses how the book pays tribute to the men and women who served and recognizes the sacrifices of their families. Pat is also the author of the award-winning children’s book “The Crystal Beads, Lalka’s Journey,” about a hidden child of the Holocaust. Although the books are very different, the themes both focus on the importance of caring for each other despite our differences.
