One of America's most beloved musical dramas finds its rightful place on the Pensacola Opera stage. Set against the backdrop of the Spanish Inquisition, Man of La Mancha finds the author Miguel de Cervantes imprisoned and charged with treason. Assuming the guise of the Knight-Errant Don Quixote, he and his fellow prisoners dare to "dream the Impossible Dream" as they begin their journey to the truth. The Pensacola Opera Guild and University of West Florida's Leisure Learning co-host the Meet the Artists Luncheons prior to each mainstage production. Pensacola Opera's Maestro Jerome Shannon and Education Director Amanda Cook will give an overview of the opera and will introduce the principal artists. Excerpts from the upcoming production will be performed by Pensacola Opera's Artists in Residence. Invite your friends and family! Leisure Learning membership is not required to attend. Reservations are required in advance through February 27, 2018. *Not available on the all-inclusive Unlimited Classes option.
