Learn how to create your own note cards by pounding poinsettias on card stock. Flower pounding is a wonderful technique – using live flowers and foliage to make an impression of your floral design on card stock and fabric. The natural dyes in the plant material are literally pounded onto the card stock. You’ll also learn how to use this method with fabric for an entirely different effect. Bring a hammer (a small jeweler’s hammer is easier to handle, but any hammer will do), a wooden cutting board or a piece of an old laminated shelf to pound on, and a bath towel to put under the board to muffle the noise. Everyone will be receive a red poinsettia, five 5 x 7 blank cards with envelopes and a small piece of fabric. Registration closes on November 23. *Not available on the all-inclusive Unlimited Classes option.
