Joined together by family legacy and limitless imagination, the Sheldon and Mosher Castles are a testament to ingenuity, resourcefulness, creativity and beauty. Dean and Pagan Mosher presently reside in the Mosher Castle. Pagan’s father and legendary artist and sculptor, Craig Sheldon began this magical, one-of-a-kind treasure more than 60 years ago. Mr. Sheldon recycled, reused and repurposed everything he could salvage. Dean Mosher has fervently continued Sheldon’s work, and so, the Mosher Castle continues to grow. The Fairhope History Museum features changing exhibits on the mezzanine as well as permanent displays of Fairhope’s unique history. There is a larger than life bronze sculpture of Craig Sheldon and a collection of his wood carvings. The museum also boasts Dean Mosher’s artwork, “The Founders of Fairhope.” To learn more about Dean, visit We will begin with a presentation and guided tour of the castles with Dean Mosher, afterward we will meet at the Fairhope History Museum for a guided tour by museum director, Allan Samry. Please note: Registration closes 3/2/2020. *Not available on the all-inclusive Unlimited Classes option.
