« back to classes page
CourseGraphic Come on out to one of the largest open flight aviaries in the area. A place to walk among the Macaws and to view the many various species of wild birds, various species of parrots, emus, peacocks and even roaming chickens and their Mascot, Tom Turkey. The park is dedicated in Memorial to the founder, Sandy Carl Kirkonnell, otherwise known as Uncle Sandy. His love for Macaws and other wild birds started out as simply a "home" for his personal Macaws. Sandy provided sanctuary and comfort to not only his birds, but soon found a need for a place to take in unwanted birds. Through the help of volunteers and close friends, Uncle Sandy's legend has now become a non-profit organization that will continue providing a safe haven for the many exotic birds and other wildlife that make Uncle Sandy's Macaw Bird Park home. Donations are welcome along with bird seed, parrot pellets and nuts. Please note: Registration closes 3/9/2020. *Not available with the Unlimited Classes option.
