For 32 years, Bill Vilona was a sports writer for the Pensacola News Journal before he retired and went to work for Studer 55 Communications and the Blue Wahoos. Everyone in this community who knows sports, knows Bill, who is a member of the Pensacola Sports Hall of Fame and the UWF Athletic Hall of Fame. He has so much to share about his illustrious career which included covering the 1994 World Cup in Orlando and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta as well as a Super Bowl and five Masters' Tournaments. Bill will share his experiences and answer our questions while inspiring us with stories like the interview he had with Bear Bryant back in his days at the University of Tennessee. Bill Vilona is an esteemed member of our community who was pleased to accept the invitation to do a Leisure Learning class as another way to participate in community service.
