Learn about unique aspects of Korean culture and language from the Korean specialist at the University of West Florida’s Center for Asian Studies, Kyonghee Paik. Through concrete examples of cultural practices in courtship, family, business, schools, and entertainment, the instructor will highlight the unique aspects of Korean culture and language in comparison to cultures in the West and the East. No knowledge of Korean language is needed, while students will learn some key Korean concepts such as Nunchi, Seonbae/Fubae, Han, Ppali Ppali, Chum, Uri, etc. Class will be held virtually via Zoom from 7:30pm-8:50pm.
